Abstract
To isolate the Psychrophilic bacteria from 69 foods of sample stored in low temperature environment, i. e. , in refrigerator and freezer.
Aerobic and anaerobic culture were done and 256 strains were isolated.
Bacterial identification, growth curve in state of low temperature sensitivity test to antibiotics were performed about isolated strains. Results obtained were summerized as follows.
1. Each aerobic Psychrophilic bacteria was isolated as Micrococcus spp. 25 strains, Mor axella spp. 12 strains, Bacillus spp. 7 strains, Flavobacterium, spp. 20 strains, Pseudomonas spp. 56 strains. Unidentified 16 strains.
2. A total of 120 strains of facultative anaerobic psychrophilic bacteria were isolated. Among them Gram positive cocci were 29 strains, Gram positive bacilli 17 stains, Gram negative shorted rod 36 strains, Gram negative longed rod 25 strains and unidentified bacteria were 8 strains.
3. Micrococcus spp., Moraxella spp., Bacillus spp., Flavobacterium spp, and Pseudomonas spp, cultured aerobically in low temperatyre were grown each at 0¡É 5¡É, 10¡É, 25¡É, 35¡É for 5 days and showed more growth at 10¡É, 35¡É.
4. In antibiotic sensitivity test to 60 strains isolated. Isolated strains showed relatively high sensitivity to Oxytetracycline, Tetracycline, Chlorotetracycline each as 900/0, 76.7%, and showed resistance to Penicillin G as 81.7%to Methicilln as 71.7%.
